Lunar New Year Dinner and Party Invitation Wording: Reunion Dinner, Dumpling Party and More

A Lunar New Year dinner invitation gives the date, time and place, says what's planned — the reunion dinner, dumplings, lanterns — and asks for an RSVP. When should you send Lunar New Year invitations?

Two to three weeks ahead — mid-January for a reunion dinner on 5 February 2027 — because families travel and calendars fill fast. Celebrations run until the Lantern Festival on the 15th day, so a party in the first two weeks is still in season.

How should you send them?

A link with the RSVP built in tells you how many places to set. PixerInvite's Reunion Dinner opens as a bamboo steamer lid lifts on dumplings before the whole family table appears; choose "Lunar New Year party" to add the schedule and RSVPs.
